EMDR

EMDR 8 Phases

Do you feel stuck in traditional talk therapy?

Have you been talking about your trauma for months or years and not making much progress?

Are you tired of having the same symptoms over and over again and find that coping skills are not helpful?

Our body’s ability to naturally heal itself from a wound is similar to how  we heal from emotional wounds.

But if we are locked in past experiences that still feel unsafe, the body and brain aren’t able to heal.

EMDR moves the past into the present so you can see it here in front of you in a safe way with your therapist. Seeing it in this way allows you to assess the threat from today.

You will learn how to THINK and FEEL differently about your trauma.

Survivors of trauma are often unable to talk about their experiences; adding isolation and loneliness to your pain.

After EMDR, people report feeling both at peace with themselves and more connected to others.
